Plant metallurgist to discuss her work in male-dominated field

Emily Welch, a 2005 metalurgical engineering graduate, will discuss her career in a male-dominated field from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the basement of Residential College II. Welch is a plant metallurgist at Nucor-Yamato Steel. Refreshments will be provided. The presentation is hosted by leadership and cultural programs, the Society of Women Engineers and the Women’s Leadership Institute.
