The Student Rec Center is offering “FLOW with Yoga” and “Pilates-Yoga FUSION” classes. The seven-week sessions begin this week and will go through Thursday, July 28, with the exception of July 4.
“Pilates-Yoga FUSION” meets from noon-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; “FLOW with Yoga” meets from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Classes meet in the Aerobics/Martial Arts Room on the first floor of the Student Rec Center.
IDs are required when you check-in at the SRC front desk. Class is limited to 30 people on a first-come, first-served basis. You provide your own mat.
Students may take classes for free due to their activity fee. Faculty and staff may purchase a punch card for $15 for 10 classes, or $25 for 20 classes, which can be used for any class. Punch cards may be purchased at the SRC front desk. Unused punches from the spring semester will be honored until the end of the summer session.
“FLOW with Yoga” is designed for any fitness level. Experience standing postures that invigorate, seated and lying poses that relax, while improving flexibility and breathe restoration using coordinated movements.
“Pilates-Yoga FUSION” is also designed for any fitness level. Begin with 30 minutes of Pilates to stimulate your core and improve coordination and skeletal resilience with core aligned movements. Finish with 30 minutes of yoga to promote healthy tendons and ligaments, to flush organs, induce suppleness and calm the mind with correct breathing techniques.
