A paper written by Dr. Christa M. Weisbrook and Dr. William P. Schonberg has been selected as Third Place winner of the Best Paper competition organized by the New Engineering Educators (NEE) Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). They will receive their award for “A Streamlined Approach to Developing and Assessing Program Educational Objectives and Program Outcomes” at the upcoming ASEE Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The paper presents methods of developing and assessing educational objectives and outcomes to provide continuous program improvement and to satisfy ABET accreditation criteria.
Weisbrook is a faculty fellow in the University of Missouri System office of academic affairs and Schonberg is professor and chair of the civil, architectural and environmental engineering department at S&T.
