Never give out your password

Information technology reminds the campus that Missouri S&T administrators and IT staff will never ask for your password. If you’ve given out your password, email security@mst.edu or contact the IT Help Desk at 573-341-HELP.
A malicious email that has been circulating campus erroneously appears to be from Missouri S&T’s IT department. The email attempts to trick recipients into giving away their university username and password. Do not respond to this email.
Missouri S&T’s IT security staff is evaluating controls, but must rely on the campus community to recognize these scams, report them, and to never give out passwords to anyone for any reason.
