Vicki Hopgood, speech/language pathologist, will again be offering individualized sessions on accent modification during the fall 2011 semester for interested international faculty. This highly successful program has been well-received by those who have participated in past sessions.
Faculty sessions are conducted on an individual basis for a 13-week period. Weekly sessions last one hour and are held in her office in the Southwestern Bell Cultural Center. Topics include: American intonation, difficult vowels and consonants, classroom presentation skills, grammar and vocabulary. There is no charge for this service. Interested tenured or tenure-track faculty should contact their department chair and enroll directly with Hopgood at hopgoodv@mst.edu.
