Academic conduct is topic at CERTI event

“The State of Student Academic Conduct at Missouri S&T” is the final Faculty Active Learning Community event topic this semester, sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI). The brown-bag lunch event will be held from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center. Dessert and beverages will be provided. RSVP to Diane Hagni at hagnid@mst.edu by Monday, April 18, to reserve your spot.
Presenters Harvest Collier, vice provost for undergraduate studies; Cheryl Downey-Eber, manager of the Testing Center; and Barb Prewett, assistant to the vice chancellor of student affairs, will cover the following topics:

  • How faculty can recognize types of cheating and actions they can take
  • University regulations regarding academic misconduct
  • What the university is doing to promote academic integrity
