University employees are eligible for discounts when Missouri S&T hosts the nationwide Camp Invention program this summer. This exciting summer day experience is for children entering grades one through six, with three separate weeklong sessions offered this summer.
University employees are eligible for a $30 discount off the regular $215 fee for their children to attend the Discover Program from June 27-July 1, the Spark II Program from July 18-22, or the Create Program from Aug. 1-5. Register by May 1 and receive an additional discount of $35, for a registration total of $150.
Children will participate in five inventive modules each day, including “I Can Invent: Edison’s Workshop,” where they will design and create their own inventions.
The Missouri S&T Center for Pre-College Programs will oversee the camps and a staff of local teachers and counselors will lead the modules. Classes are scheduled each day from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Contact Melanie Wulff in the Pre-College Center to register a student using the employee discount at 341-4228 or wulffmd@mst.edu. Find out more about Camp Invention at campinvention.org.
