Scholarship established to honor Tom and Grette Herrick

The Tom and Grette Herrick Memorial Scholarship has been established at the Miner Alumni Association to honor the couple that passed away this year.
Tom Herrick earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at S&T in 1958, and was recognized in 2002 by the Athletic Hall of Fame for his career as a Miner football player. He served on the Missouri S&T electrical engineering faculty for many years and was honored as professor emeritus in 2000.
Grette Herrick graduated Magna Cum Laude from S&T in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology while working full time for the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Forest Service. She was a mother of four, a talented artist and was devoted to serving her community.
