To help you get started in the Miners on the Move program, human resource services and Healthy for Life are providing health screenings and flu shots for all S&T employees (see schedule below). The October screenings and flu shots are by appointment only; the screenings and flu shots during the Health Fair on Nov. 16 are on a first-come, first-served basis. Email Healthy for Life at wellness@umsystem.edu or call 573-884-1312 to make an appointment. Appointments can be made until 4 p.m. the day before the event.

Employees and dependents covered under the Coventry Health Plan will receive their flu shots at no charge. Employees and dependents not covered under Coventry can pay $25 by cash or check and receive a flu shot that day. Children 9-years-old and up may get vaccinated if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The 2010 event dates are as follows:

• Tuesday, Oct. 12: Health screenings from 8:30 a.m.-noon in Room 206 Centennial Hall. Get your cholesterol, glucose, body mass index, blood pressure, height and weight numbers (by appointment only).
• Thursday, Oct. 28: Flu shots from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Ozark Room of the Havener Center (by appointment only).
• Tuesday, Nov. 16: Health Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. Flu shots and health screenings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• December: Wellness coaching and advising sessions by appointment only.

2011 screening dates are to be determined.
