Updates for the S&T community
Volunteers are needed for Expanding Your Horizons (EYH), a conference where 7th and 8th grade girls learn about careers in science, math, engineering and technology. EYH will be held on Friday, Oct. 15. Volunteer by Monday, Sept. 13, with Lisa Powell at 341-4278 or strauser@mst.edu.
Volunteers are needed to run hands-on workshops and to guide the girls around campus. The event attracts more than 600 prospective students to campus.
Each workshop is conducted three times during the four 45-minute rotations, scheduled from 10:10 a.m.-1:40 p.m. One rotation is left open for a complementary lunch. Find out more about leading a workshop.
Guiding is easy and enjoyable, and a great way to contribute to the young women’s experience on campus. All faculty, staff and students, especially women, are encouraged to volunteer to be a guide. The hours are from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. You can sign up for morning or afternoon only, or for all day. Lunch is provided for all guides.
Find out more about the conference online.
