September is Suicide Prevention Month. Please observe this month by completing the online suicide prevention training program, Ask. Listen. Refer. The website www.AskListenRefer.org/mst is designed to help S&T faculty, staff and students prevent suicide by teaching them to:
- Identify people at risk for suicide.
- Recognize the risk factors, protective factors and warning signs of suicide.
- Respond to and get help for people at risk.
If you have already taken advantage of this opportunity, please go to the website and do a quick review. It’s worth your time to gain some skills and comfort related to suicide prevention. Thanks for doing your part to be informed and prepared to help someone who may be considering taking his or her life.
