Former Philip Morris scientist to speak at S&T

Dr. Victor J. DeNoble, former research scientist for Philip Morris (maker of Marlboro cigarettes) will visit campus to discuss the addictive nature of nicotine and the tobacco industry’s attempt to hide important health information from the public. He will present “Into the Darkside: The Science Behind Nicotine Addiction and the Lies of the Tobacco Industry,” from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, in St. Pat’s B of the Havener Center. DeNoble’s presentation is sponsored by C.A.S.E. (Campus Community Alliances for Smoke-Free Environments) and SAFERolla (Smoke-Free Air For Everyone Rolla).
