The next “Speak UP Speak OUT” topic will be “Views of the Middle East Since 9/11.” Everyone is invited to come and discuss the changes in the way Americans view individuals from the Middle East and of the Muslim faith since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The discussion will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the Missouri Room of the Havener Center.
Topics will include the recent proposed burning of the Koran by a Florida pastor and the building of the mosque in New York City. For more information, contact Erin Stampp at hoodel@mst.edu.
This is a student-led dialogue where all are respected and encouraged to share their views. Find out more about the series online.
