“Student and Faculty Perception of Technology Use,” a Faculty Learning Community event, will be held from noon-1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A. The event is co-sponsored by CERTI and educational technology.
Matt Shaner, supervisor of information technology relationship and asset management, will present and moderate an open discussion about technology in the classroom. Topics covered will include faculty and student expectations regarding technology, such as laptops and cell phones, their use as teaching tools in the classroom, and what happens when expectations and reality collide.
