The Missouri S&T Police Department has received information that at least two burglaries may have been committed in an area just east of the main campus. The area in question is bounded by 18th Street on the north, Oak Street on the east, 12th Street on the south and Pine Street on the west. While the location is not on university property, the victims in both cases appear to be university students.
Students’ assistance is needed in investigating these incidents. Anyone who has been a victim of a crime in that area within the past 30 days is asked to make a report to the Missouri S&T Police Department. The department asks that students report the incident to the Missouri S&T Police Department even if they have already reported the incident to the Rolla Police Department. The police department is located in Room G-10 of the Campus Support Facility Building.
The Missouri S&T Police Department reminds students of the following safety tips:

  • Always lock the doors and windows of your residence. Lock the doors whenever you enter or leave your residence.
  • Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
  • Record the serial numbers of your property to assist in recovery of the items if taken.

The Missouri S&T Police Department provides escort services to students who would prefer to not walk alone on campus at night. Call 341-4300 to request an escort.
