HR to offer hiring workshops

Human resource services will present informational workshops twice a month for faculty and staff who conduct, assist or participate in the hiring process for faculty or staff positions. The next workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 21.
The workshops will cover faculty and staff hiring guidelines, UM system and campus affirmative action policies, UM system’s interviewing policy, reference checking and disposition codes. Workshops will be held at noon on the first Tuesday of every month and at 3 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month in the HR Conference Room in 206 Centennial Hall.
Faculty and staff involved in the recruiting or hiring process must attend a workshop prior to interviewing candidates for vacant positions. Attendance to one workshop per year is required.
