Dr. George Stegemeier, a 1952 petroleum engineering graduate of S&T, will give a presentation titled “Solar Warming II” from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Stegemeier has been inducted into the National Academy of Engineering.
All departments interested in global warming are invited to attend. The presentation will discuss the energy balance of the Earth’s atmosphere, to include the equations of Stefan-Boltzman, Kirchoff, Wien, Planck, Lambert-Beer and Clausius-Clapeyron.
