Two Tool Time Workshops will discuss “What is Cultural Competence and Why Does it Matter to My Career?”:
- Noon-1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center
- 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in Room 305 Norwood Hall.
Research continues to show that companies that emphasize cultural competence and embrace diversity yield more innovation and enhanced financial performance. Cultural competence is among the leading skill sets that employers look for. This workshop will explain cultural competence, demonstrate its importance to employers and provide ways to improve it.
