The University of Missouri System’s Life Sciences Summit will be held March 7-8 in Kansas City, Mo. The summit is led by the University of Missouri-Columbia and hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City in collaboration with the Kansas City Area Development Council
Designed for the scientific and business communities, the summit will identify innovations that lead to new private sector investments and job creation and those that hold the greatest promise for intellectual property and commercialization. Researchers from all four UM campuses are expected to present research at the summit.
“The goal is to accelerate the movement of new ideas from the lab to the marketplace,” says Summit Chair Brady J. Deaton, chancellor of the Columbia campus. “Our region must emerge as a world leader in bioscience research and job creation; the economy depends on it.”
