Students are invited to eight “Speak UP, Speak OUT” sessions this semester to discuss important issues that should be discussed, but often aren’t. Sessions will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays on the following dates: Jan. 20, Feb. 3, Feb. 17, March 3, March 17, April 14, April 28 and May 5. Most gatherings will take place in the Meramec Room of the Havener Center, with the exception of Jan. 20 and April 14, which will be in the Missouri Room of the Havener Center.
These lively and respectful student-led sessions will cover such topics as stereotypes, poverty, religion, racism, Greeks vs. non-Greeks, and more.
