Missouri S&T’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will be at home Thursday, Jan. 7, and again on Saturday, Jan. 9, as they take on some of the top teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Miners and Lady Miners face Southern Indiana tonight in a doubleheader that will begin at 5:30 p.m. USI’s women’s team has won 12 straight games and its men’s team is ranked eighth in NCAA Division II. The S&T men’s team is coming off a thrilling win last Monday over Missouri-St. Louis, while the Lady Miners are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to UMSL.
Kentucky Wesleyan comes to town on Saturday for a twin bill that begins with the Lady Miners’ game at 1 p.m. and the men’s game with the 13th-ranked Panthers at 3 p.m. Following the doubleheader, the boys’ basketball teams from Dixon and Mountain View-Liberty will play at Billy Key Court.
