The Missouri S&T Externship Program, sponsored by the office of undergraduate studies, provides students with opportunities to gain leadership development experience in a corporate setting for one-to-five days during spring break (March 26-April 2). Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis; however, the priority application deadline for the program is Tuesday, Dec. 15.
In the program, corporate sponsors will provide students with a general introduction to the company and an overview of how their corporation practices the types of corporate responsibility and accountability described by the Global Sullivan Principles. Participating companies will include Brinkmann Constructors, Cerner, Code Consultants Inc., Covidien, KCP (Honeywell) and others.
Selected students will attend one orientation and one reflection workshop on campus, in addition to the spring break site visit. Program details and application documents are available at ugs.mst.edu/externship.html.
An information session about the program will be held at noon on Thursday, Dec. 10, in the Havener Center.
