The priority application deadline for the Missouri S&T Externship Program is Tuesday, Dec. 15. The program provides undergraduate students with opportunities to gain leadership development experience in a corporate setting for one to five days over spring break (March 26 -April 2). Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis. An information session about the program will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center.
Corporate sponsors in the program will introduce S&T students to the company and give an overview of how their corporation practices the types of corporate responsibility and accountability described by the Global Sullivan Principles. Participating companies will include Brinkmann Constructors, Caterpillar, Covidien, KCP (Honeywell) and many others.
The program is sponsored by the office of undergraduate studies and targets undergraduate students who are sophomore-level or above. Selected students will attend one orientation and one reflection workshop on campus, in addition to the spring break site visit. The program description and application documents are online at ugs.mst.edu/externship.html.
