Rolla PD changes main phone number

University Police are notifying the campus that the Rolla Police Department has changed its phone number to 573-308-1213.
The change is due to problems the department has experienced for the past two years as a result of a widely circulated false alert. The false Amber Alert for Ashley Flores includes the department’s name, address and phone number and has produced 50-75 daily calls to the department.
