What’s with the crane?

The solar house is in the process of being dismantled for transport to Washington, D.C., for the Solar Decathlon. The crane located by the house helped lift the roof off yesterday to prepare to load the house into semi-trucks. The crane is expected to depart sometime today, Thursday, Sept. 24. A portion of State Street will be closed today and tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 24, and Friday, Sept. 25) as the rain will slow the loading progress. For safety reasons, the team is slowing down the loading process to avoid any injuries with the semi-trucks.
