Personnel from the UM controller’s office will be on campus for two presentations on “Understanding University Fund Accounting” Tuesday, Sept. 29. Fund accounting provides the framework that the university must follow in maintaining its financial records and in reporting financial information.
Each session will cover the basics of fund accounting, including a discussion of the restrictions on the various types of funds and the importance of properly accounting for these funds in the university’s daily operations.
