It’s not a four seam fastball or even a splitter – it’s an elevator pitch, a 90-second delivery of a business concept to “wow” a potential investor. Missouri S&T will hold its fifth annual Elevator Pitch from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, on the second floor of the Havener Center. The Elevator Pitch is hosted by the Small Business Technology Development Center and the student group TIES (Technical Innovators and Entrepreneurs Society). Everyone is invited to attend.

The competition is open to any current Missouri S&T student. The prizes are $250 for first place, $150 for second and $50 for third. The winner also gets an opportunity to represent S&T at the national elevator pitch competition in Chicago in October. Students are invited to a coaching session from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 15, or Tuesday, Sept 22, in the new residence hall meeting room, RC1.
