Opening Week begins on Saturday, Aug. 15, with more than 1,070 new freshmen participating in the “New Student Move-in.” Throughout the week, students will complete an academic workshop, learn about campus and college life, and participate in Project X, a team design project. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend all Opening Week activities to help welcome new students.

New Student Convocation, the official Missouri S&T welcome, will be held at 9 a.m., Monday, Aug. 17, in the Student Recreation Center in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
Cheer for your favorite Project X team during the competition from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, beginning at the Puck and ending at the Havener Center. Project X vehicles will be on display the following week on the second floor of the Havener Center.
Evening activities will include a welcome picnic, a comedian, recreation activities, Vegas night, an ice cream social, an outdoor movie and more.
