Cyclists in the Tour of Missouri will enter Rolla from the east on Highway BB and will cross the finish line in front of Castleman Hall around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. Join an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 spectators in Rolla for this exciting event.
Recognized as one of the top five races outside of Europe, the Tour of Missouri will include riders representing nine teams that won 14 stages of the Tour de France, including Mark Cavendish of Team Columbia.
Travel and parking around campus will be affected. Lot 11 by Castleman Hall will close on Tuesday, Sept. 8, for event set-up. University parking lots 22 and 13 will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Those who typically park in these lots will be directed to alternate parking.
Several hundred volunteers are needed for this event. To learn more, check out the Tour of Missouri website at www.tourofmissouri.com/.
