Opening Week just a month away

Another outstanding freshman class will be on campus for Opening Week Aug. 15-22. Faculty and staff are encouraged to welcome 1,100 new students at the following events:
- Party at the Puck from 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
- New Student Convocation, the official Missouri S&T welcome, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at the Student Recreation Center in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
- Project X Competition from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21. The race begins at the Puck and ends at the Havener Center.
Project X is a design project students complete with their mentor group. There will be an opportunity to bid on one of the unique vehicles at the silent auction following the race.
