Dr. George Stegemeier, a 1952 petroleum engineering graduate of S&T, will give a presentation on solar warming from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in Room 204 of McNutt Hall. Stegemeier is one of three alumni who have been inducted into the National Academy of Engineering.

The seminar will present an alternative hypothesis to global warming and will focus on an energy balance approach to interpret temperature changes in the latter half of the 20th century. Anyone with an interest in this area is encouraged to attend. For more information about Stegemeier’s visit, contact Dr. Robert Schwartz, vice provost for academic affairs at rschwartz@mst.edu
