Erdos named 2008 outstanding student by IEEE

David Erdos from Rogersville, Mo., a senior in electrical engineering, was recognized as the Outstanding Region 5 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student for 2008. The award presentation was held on April 18 at the 2009 Region 5 Annual Conference of the IEEE in Lubbock, Texas. Region 5 includes Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Erdos was recognized in part for his leadership in the Missouri S&T student chapter of the aerospace and electronic systems of the IEEE, which is advised by Dr. Steve E. Watkins, professor of electrical and computer engineering.
