Curious how commencement and honor roll information gets in the news?

Several weeks after the end of each semester, a list of Missouri S&T graduates and students on the honor roll for that semester is sent to the students’ hometown newspapers via an electronic distribution service. The newspapers decide whether or not to print this information. The list does not include students who have restricted the release of this information by signing and turning in a “Restriction of Release of Directory Information” form to the office of the registrar.
Honor Roll information is available on Joe’SS. Click on Self Service > Student Center, then click the drop down box under Academics and select Academic Standing. There will be a list of terms on the Honor Roll. Per the Student Academic Regulations, students who receive a GPA of at least 3.2 and have completed 12 hours are designated as honor students for that semester.
