12th Academy of Chemical Engineers Lectureship to be held this week

The Academy of Chemical Engineers and the chemical and biological engineering department will co-host the 12th Academy of Chemical Engineers Lectureship on Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16.  The guest speaker will be Dr. Nicholas A. Peppas from the University of Texas at Austin. Peppas is a leader in the fields of bionanotechnology and molecular recognition processes, nanodevices for controlled drug delivery, and intelligent biomaterials.


The first lecture,”Recognition and Delivery: The Next Generation of Medical Microdevices,” will be held from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Room 104 Centennial Hall. A reception will be held from 3:30-4 p.m. prior to the lecture.

The second lecture, “Addressing Educational Problems in an Evolving, Global and Challenging Chemical Engineering World,” will be held from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in Room 120 Butler-Carlton Hall. A reception will be held from 3:30-4 p.m. prior to the lecture.
