The Women’s History Month Planning Committee has scheduled the following events to commemorate women’s history:

“Women Inventors A to Z” Display. Stop by the Havener Center
Atrium to view a display of posters depicting women inventors and their
inventions. The posters will be on display through Wednesday, March 11.

‘Shining Star’ Essay Contest. Everyone on campus is
encouraged to write a 250-300 word essay outlining the qualities that
make the “Shining Star” nominee an inspirational woman. The essay can
be about any current female S&T student or employee. Essays will be
reviewed by the Women’s History Month Planning Committee in two
categories, students and employees. One winner from each category will
be selected. For a nomination form or for more information, contact

‘Recognizing S&T Stars’ Reception. The
campus is invited to join the Women’s History Month Planning Committee
and the Women’s Leadership Institute in recognizing the “Shining Star
Award” recipients and the Women’s Hall of Fame Inductees. The reception
will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 30, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of
the Havener Center. The winning “Shining Star” essay will be read at
the reception.
