Encourage students to enter annual writing contest

Encourage your undergraduate students to submit their best written work to the Writing Center’s 2009 Annual Writing Contest. This is the eighth year the Writing Center has held the contest.
Prizes will be awarded in seven categories: (1) short story, general topic; (2) short story, sci-fi/fantasy; (3) analytical essay; (4) personal essay; (5) research paper; (6) technical writing; and (7) English 20 essay. Submissions should be emailed to Brandi Washburn at brandiw@mst.edu no later than Friday, April 17.
An awards reception will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in the Writing Center in Room 113 of the Campus Support Facility. Winning entries will be collected and published. Additional information is available online at writingcenter.mst.edu, or call 341-4436.
