Embarq phone books discontinued

Based on our campus green initiatives and recent cost cutting measures IT, in partnership with the Green Campus Committee, determined that the environmental impact and cost of hard-copy Embarq phone books are no longer an efficient use of campus resources. This year (2009) will be the last year hard-copy Embarq phone books will be distributed.
As an alternative, the campus is encouraged to use online resources, such as yellow.com, Yahoo! area listing tools and other online phone directories. Visit it.mst.edu/generalinfo/phonebook.html for a listing of online phone book-related resources.
Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated as IT strives to make efficient use of university resources and make Missouri S&T a greener campus.
As always, please remember to recycle all your paper products, including phone books.
