RecycleMania comes to campus

As part of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) signed by President Forsee, the S&T student group the ECO Miners will participate in a RecycleMania, a college and university waste minimization and recycling competition. The competition lasts from Jan. 18 through March 28. Its main goal is to raise awareness of:
— Recycling programs already in place on campus
— What each of us can do to minimize our waste and our impact on the environment
— The amount of waste we, as a campus, generate.
The competition will help the ECO Miners compile data to establish baselines and set goals to minimize campus waste and help reduce future costs for disposal.
