Information technology has launched a pilot for Microsoft Vista. Eight computers on the second floor of the library have Vista installed and are available for use until the end of the spring semester. Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to try out the new machines and participate in the survey to help IT develop the best Vista configuration for CLC machines and teaching labs. A link to the survey is posted at each of the eight machines and participants will be automatically entered into a drawing for one of several Missouri S&T Bookstore gift certificates.

Why Vista?

— Faster processing speeds
— Compatible with the latest software packages
— Microsoft is phasing out support and service for Windows XP

Any questions or concerns about the IT Vista pilot project can be directed to the IT Help Desk at 341-HELP (4357).
