A top priority expressed by campus leaders will be addressed by a new program in the works by human resource services and enrollment management. This professional development program will address employee software and information technology skills.
A pilot program will begin with 53 participants next month. After the pilot program is completed and assessed, University of Missouri System staff will use the information to develop and deliver a program available to the entire campus community in spring 2009.
Shenethia Manuel, director of human resource services and affirmative action, says improving employee software and information technology skills was the most frequently mentioned need by department and division leaders when she began her position six months ago.
