Chartwells Dining Services, with support from the Residential Hall Association, is encouraging patrons to go trayless in the Thomas Jefferson and Rayl Dining Halls. Many other colleges and universities across the nation have seen the positive impact on both students and the environment from going trayless.

Not using trays saves water and energy and decreases the amount of cleaning chemicals and food waste dumped into the environment. All students are encouraged to go trayless, but trays will continue to be available upon request.
