International affairs is sponsoring a welcome event for all new and current international students from 4-7 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 14, in the lower pavilion of Schuman Park on Olive Street. The pavilion is easily spotted if you drive or walk east on 14th Street from the Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Building.
They will serve food, hallal, and vegetarian hotdogs, sandwiches, salad, rice, chips, cookies, soft drinks and water. The Indian Student Association has agreed to play an exhibition cricket match; other games include volleyball, badminton and soccer. Students have developed an interactive scavenger hunt to help new students meet members of the Missouri S&T campus.
Missouri S&T faculty, staff and current students are invited. Participants in the International Friends program are asked to encourage their student or community friend to attend.
Volunteers have worked hard to make sure that this is a great event. For more information, contact Roberta "Birdie" Morgan at birdie@mst.edu.
