Opening Week Orientation will again be a terrific week of academics, activities and fun. The week begins with more than 1,000 new freshmen participating in the "New Student Move-in" on Saturday, Aug. 16 and activites continue through Saturday, Aug. 23. Throughout the week, students will complete an academic workshop, learn about campus and college life, and participate in Project X – a team design project. Friday, Aug, 22, will be the Project X competition and the campus community is invited to cheer the teams. There will be plenty of evening activities for our new students, including a welcome picnic, ventriloquist, recreation, game night, ice-cream social, outdoor movie "Ironman", and much more.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend all events during Openign Week. One of the events you won’t want to miss is the New Student Convocation, the official Missouri S&T welcome, at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the Student Rec Center.
