Hey, who turned off the lights?

Hopefully you did. Several weeks ago, environmental health and safety began placing green stickers above light switches across campus. The stickers are to remind everyone to turn off lights when leaving an unoccupied room. Why is this important? In fiscal year 2008, Missouri S&T’s electric usage averaged 3,166,934 KWH (kilo watt hours) a month. This translates into an average electric bill of $249,476.14 for each month.
