The "Miner Card" ID office is ready to introduce the new Missouri S&T "Miner Card" to students, faculty and staff. Missouri S&T students can replace their old IDs with the new "Miner Card" hrough June 1, 2008. Missouri S&T faculty and staff (including retirees and dependents) will begin the process of replacing their old IDs to the new "Miner Card" starting Monday, Feb. 4 through June 1, 2008. There will not be a fee charged for the new IDs. Only one free "Miner Card" will be issued per person.
To receive a new Missouri S&T "Miner Card" everyone will exchange their old ID card. The Miner ID office will punch a hole in the mag stripe to cancel the old card and students, faculty and staff may keep their old card and leave with a new active Missouri S&T "Miner Card." Students, faculty and staff who do not have their old card will pay a $10 replacement fee.
Student, faculty and staff may save time by emailing the Miner ID Office at firstname.lastname@example.org and request to use their original ID picture in the ID system. Person requesting ID by email will need to wait 24 hours to pick-up their new ID card at the ID office, 101 University Center. After the 24 wait, persons will need to bring their old ID to exchange it for the new Missouri S&T ID.
