New ID cards available soon

The "Miner Card" ID Office is ready to introduce the new Missouri University of Science and Technology "Miner Card" to students, faculty and staff. Missouri S&T students will begin to replace their old IDs Monday, Jan. 7, and the process will continue through June 1, 2008. Faculty and staff (including retirees) may replace their cards Feb. 4 through June 1, 2008. Faculty and staff who need a new Missouri S&T ID for International travel or security reasons prior to Feb. 4 should contact the ID office for immediate accommadations. There will not be a fee charged for the new IDs. Only one free "Miner Card" will be issued per person.


To receive a new Missouri S&T "Miner Card," everyone will exchange their old ID card. The Miner ID Office will punch a hole in the mag stripe to cancel the old card. Students, faculty and staff may keep their old card and leave with a new active Missouri S&T "Miner Card". Students, faculty and staff who do not have their old card will pay a$10 replacement fee.
Student, faculty and staff may save time by emailing the Miner ID Office at pro@mst.edu and request to use their original ID picture in the ID system. Persons requesting ID by email will need to wait 24 hours to pick-up their new ID cards at the ID Office, 101 University Center. After the 24 wait, persons will need to bring their old ID to exchange it for the new Missouri S&T ID.
Dependents, visitors, press passes, CSO anad alumni will have to pay a $5 fee, between Jan. 7 and June 1, 2008, to replace their cards. After June 1, the fee will be $10.
