Dr. Martin Bohner, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of mathematics and statistics, has been elected president of the International Society of Difference Equations. His two-year position started Aug. 1.
The International Society of Difference Equations includes 700 members from 77 countries. The election results were announced at the general meeting of the society during the 23rd International Conference on Difference Equations and Applications in Timisoara, Romania, in July.
