A water leak from lab equipment in Room 340 Schrenk Hall on Sunday caused water to leak into the labs below and down to the ground floor. The facilities operations staff and ServPro crews worked to bring the labs back up to operating conditions for today (Monday, Nov. 18).

Flooding reported at Schrenk Hall

A water line leak has caused flooding in Schrenk Hall. The following rooms are closed until further notice:

  • Ground floor: Auditorium (G3) and Rooms G5 and G6
  • First floor: Room 104
  • Second floor: Rooms 204 and 205

As part of previously scheduled work, deionized water will not be available Thursday, Aug. 16, throughout Schrenk Hall. Deionized water will be available again Friday, Aug. 17.

Water leaks reported at Emerson Hall, Diversity House

Due to a water leak, the breezeway at Emerson Hall and the east and west doors into the building from the breezeway are temporarily closed. The breezeway is expected to be closed for at least a week. Please avoid the breezeway. Emerson Hall remains open and the water is on but the building’s heating is affected. Crews are working on repairs. Crews are also working on repairs at S&T’s Diversity House on 605 W. 11th Street. Due to a water leak, the water is currently shut off at the Diversity House.
