A team of S&T researchers has received a National Science Foundation research grant of nearly $1 million to develop stronger safeguards for a wide array of complex systems that rely on computers – from public water supply systems and electric grids to chemical plants and self-driving vehicles.

Siau and Yin go on camera about robots, laws

Two Missouri S&T faculty members are featured in a news story on laws regarding technology such as self-driving cars, drones and robots. The KRCG-13 TV story, “Humans Vs. Machines: A Loophole in the Law,” aired Feb. 13. It features Dr. Keng Siau, chair and professor of business and information technology, and Dr. Zhaozheng Yin, assistant professor and Daniel C. St. Clair Fellow of computer science.
