Missouri S&T is saddened to learn about the passing of Joel Kramme, assistant professor emeritus of arts, languages and philosophy, who died Monday, Oct. 28. A celebration of life will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at The Public House Brewing Co. in Rolla.

Enroll in online teaching recertification seminar

The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence reminds instructors, who teach online, about the next Online Teaching Recertification Seminar this semester. The seminar, which begins Monday, Oct. 28, and runs until Nov. 15, fulfills the University of Missouri System requirement for faculty to recertify every five years after completing the Online Teaching Certification Seminar.

Gary White, CEO and co-founder of Water.org and WaterEquity and a Missouri S&T graduate, will speak at the university Wednesday, Nov. 15, as part of the Chancellor’s Speaker Series. White’s presentation will begin at 5 p.m. in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. A reception with refreshments will be held at 4 p.m. in the theater lobby.
